LSAT Score

153.
It's not quite what I was hoping for, but it's still a competetive score, and that's all that matters. That, and my GPA, should really be enough.

Happy Birthday to Me!

I'm 21!
Now, to make up for a lifetime of restraint in one day! ;-)

Two Father's Day Poems

To my Father

From the time I was born

To this very day

You were always there

When I needed

A ride someplace

A basketball hoop put in

(Remember the difference between a root and a wire?)

A new toy from the store

A new bike

A new console installed

A new computer

A car

Hard to find Christmas presents

(I guess I’ll be getting money from now on…)

A good education

Money when I got in over my head

Advice

Or someone to talk to

You were always there.

In return for this

On this Father’s Day

So close to my 21st birthday

So close to my achievement of full adulthood,

What can I give you

That compares to all that?

I can think of nothing that even comes close

But my filial love.

To Grandpa

I remember

From when I was a kid

You were always ready

To take me to the toy store

To the supermarke
t
Out to eat.

(And you always remembered to take souvenirs from the buffet!)

You were always ready to buy me something

And you always had money in your pocket for me.

When I got older

You helped me learn to drive

From my childhood to this very day

Your love for me was very deep.

On this Father’s Day

I would like to express my deep love for you.

This Week

I think I’ve recuperated from the LSAT. Man, was that test long! The test itself was 3 ½ hours, but with various, inefficient administrative junk, it took about six hours!! Checking people in one at a time, nobody can leave until everyone’s forms are checked for errors one more time (hey, if you can’t fill out a form correctly, that’s your problem, don’t delay me because of it)-it was as if they were trying to drag it out as long as possible. But it’s over. Now all I have to do is worry about the score I got on the hardest test I have ever taken. ;-) Again, prayers would be welcome.

In other news, I finally got a job! :-D I will be a clerk for a local research company; I got this job through a temp agency; if you live in Monmouth or Ocean County New Jersey, email me, I’ll give you their info.

LSAT

Well, I take the LSAT tomorrow. Wish me luck, everyone! Prayers, sacrifices, offerings of your first born to the LSAC, are not out of line! ;-)

School Reunion

Back at Oak Hill

Seeing old friends I haven’t seen

In so many years

Seeing my old teachers…

How has everyone been getting along?

Great!

But we have drifted so far away from each other

Since 1999

How did this happen?

The reunion is over.

We all go to our cars.

And drift away again.

Oh, before we leave

Let’s take a cup of kindness

For auld lang syne!
