My CF interview went well. Hopefully I'll be admitted in April.

It looks like health care is going to pass.
I don't mind the individual mandate, and I don't mind guaranteed issue. I don't even mind all of the new taxes. I would just like to know why we need a new bureaucracy. Why can't we just let people buy into Medicaid (along with individual mandate/guaranteed issue) and be done with it?Why do we need a completely new program, with completely new opportunities for payoffs to special interests? An added bonus of this approach is that the "culture war" issues (eg abortion) are already up to the states with Medicaid-no need to refight those battles.

I finsihed my internship today.
I'm really sorry to go. I think I learned a lot, and the work was interesting. I hope I can find work as a court attorney or something at some point in my career-I really like that kind of work.

On account of rain (or, more accurately, on account of wind and rain blowing a tree onto the tracks at Scarsdale). :-(

Going to Sands tomorrow to a) check out my college stomping frounds and b) attempt to get some $$. Wish me luck.

My friends are starting to get their C&F interview dates. Hopefully, I'll get mine soon!
