Thanksgivng
I just got done with an excellent Thanksgiving dinner with my family. The food was delicious, and it was nice seeing my family again, especially my relatives I don't see too often. The thing I am thankful for right now, is having survived the year!

Sweeping Powers to Change Copyright Law in UK
The UK First Secretary of Staty wants to basically dictate copyright law in that country, without going through Parliament. Is that sort of thing normal on that side of the pond?

ACTA Internet Provisions
There have been leaks relating to the ACTA. It looks like it will basically be a global DMCA. While it doesn't look as bad is many people feared, I wish that they would stop with the secrecy and let us see what they are trying to cram down our throats.

MPAA Wants to Take Away Your Set-Top Box
The MPAA is trying to get the FCC to allow them to send a signal with certain broadcasts that would disable any electronic equipment that does not comply with their DRM. The FCC is currently taking comments. I sent in a comment urging the FCC not to allow it, and anyone who doesn't want Hollywood to force them to get all new electronic equipment should do the same.
