Censorship Law Fast-Tracked
The COICA is on the fast track to passage. If passed, this law would allow the government to create a blacklist of sites, which ISPs would be bound by law to block. This sounds like the system they currently have in China-the government decides what you are and are not allowed to look at.

First Criminal Case
I had my first criminal case earlier this week. It was interesting. My client got ACDed (basically, he has to stay out of trouble for a year).

NY Governor's Primary

Labor Day
So, it's Labor Day, and I just realized something.
I am never going back to school again.
I graduated from law school last year, but I guess I was just too caught up in studying for/taking/recovering from the bar exam to realize this. I have entered the grownup world. I will not do any back to school shopping (at least not to myself). When I board the train tomorrow, I will be among kids going back to school. I will be going to work. I will go to work until I retire. Childhood has, by any reasonable definition, ended.

Good Meeting
Had a good meeting with an attorney yesterday who prefers being in his office to being in court doing conferences. Hopefully, I'll get a fair amount of business from him.
