Bhutto Assassinated
Benazir Bhutto was assassinated. I don't know that much about Pakistani politics, but it seems obvious that this is going to destabilize the country. Maybe it will give the US an excuse to go into the Northwest Frontier Provence, where Bin-Laden probably is.

FISA Immunity Bill Defeated
The bill granting telecom companies immunity from giving information on their customers to the government without their consent was defeated. Finally, some sanity! Now, if only the dems can nominate someone electable (ie: not Hillary), we might actually get back on track.

Next one is a take-home.

Teddy Bear Blasphemy
The teacher in Sudan who let her class name the class teddy bear Mohammad was pardoned. I'm glad she was let go, however, she should not have been imprisoned at all. Is there any non-Muslim country that locks people up, or lashes them, for insulting religious figures? I don't think so.
On a lighter note: CAIR Bears!
