I got an illegal cab ride home from work tonight.
The cabbie was licensed in Yonkers, and my trip was White Plains-White Plains. Because he was right in my office, I didn't have to wait for an "official" White Plains cabbie to come get me.
One of the perks of working at a taxi insurance place. :-)

I'm going into the city tonight.
I just need to see for myself how bad everything is around Grand Central.
I need to get over my fear that its unsafe.
I need to not let disasters like this rule my life.
I'm going into the city.

Am I the only person that likes to go places alone? Clubs, bars, into the city, some restaurants-I just like to be by myself. I think a part of this book echoes my feelings on the matter (scroll down to "Solitary Pleasures"). I just like to be alone with myself-the best company I know. Is anyone else like that?
