Am I the only one incensed at the picture of the Iranians making the British female sailor wear a hijab? She is a woman born into the culture of the Enlightenment; it's cruel to make her wear a badge of oppression. As far as I'm concerned, it's no different than making Jews wear yellow stars.

OK, so I'm on the 4-Train from Brooklyn, and this homeless person starts singing because nobody would give her anything. Normally, that wouldn't faze me, but she was so bad, it was funny. I almost laughed out loud, but I was worried she'd go all crazy on me. So I stifled my laughter till the next stop, and switched to the 6.
Ah, New York. What other city could have a pot sting operation in Washington Square Park, but not be able to keep the damn transit system safe for normal people?
