Bad Day

I had to print 200+ pages for work. I ran out of ink, I ran out of paper, and it's raining. :-(

Bad Christmas Tree

Do not get the Walmart Christmas tree made by General Foam Plastics. I bought it, and, the day I set it up, half the lights went out. I had to go out and buy new lights.

Guy Moment

I had a guy moment today.
I like dried cranberries. I like cranberry bread, cranberry muffins, and other cranberry products. So, I thought I'd try fresh cranberries.
I discovered I do not like fresh cranberries. They were very tart. Further research revealed that most people find fresh cranberries too tart.
So, I'm so bad at cooking that I actually messed up fresh fruit!

Colleges Required to be Copyright Cops

A new education bill would require colleges to police copyright infringement or lose federal funding. It also would require them to offer "alternatives" to P2P.
First, the "alternatives" requirement sounds to me like Congress is essentially requiring colleges to provide students with a luxury item (legit downloaded music) or lose their funding, which is ridiculous.
Secondly, is there any other civil offense that colleges are required to police or lose federal funding? I don't think so.

It Begins

The natural result of my procrastination.
7 pages (of a 15 page draft) in 2 days.
Wish me luck.

MP3 Player Update

The firmware update worked out OK. It sucks having to replace every single file (I'm doing that now), but the new firmware lets me use the regular Windows file system to put stuff on, without having some software impose its idea of organization on me. That, I like.
